Moin Moin and a warm welcome to the very first CBI A³ Project with the University of Applied Sciences Mannheim as a partner!

A³ is a direct follow-up initiative of prior Challenge Based Innovation (CBI) experiments at IdeaSquare CERN, conducted by the Design Factory Melbourne.

The objective is clear: Connect CERN people with interdisciplinary teams of students from all over the world to develop conceptual design solutions addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals by using CERN technology.

This year’s setup will focus on Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation + Goal 14: Life below Water and includes four teams from the Design Factory Global Network (DFGN), namely: Design Factory Melbourne, Porto Design Factory, Pace University NYC Design Factory and inno.space Design Factory Mannheim.

Co-creation represents a key element of CBI A³ and therefore each team works in a buddy system with another team to review the weekly progress and gain mutual benefits like getting insights into different points of view.

We can hardly wait to meet our team from Design Factory Melbourne and start our mission to create change in the world!

Last but not least, a short movie about us – Team QUATA – who will provide you weekly progress updates on this blog. Enjoy!
